This last weekend was round 5 of the Middle Swedish Cup held at Eskilstuna, Sweden. The track is quite small and has a pretty technical layout but with rather high traction. Sorex 28 was the control tire.
Quite a few fast drivers were attending the Modified class, including fellow XRAY drivers Niclas Nilsson and Niklas Johansson and also Schumacher driver Tommy Bergfeldt to name a few.
My car was a little bit too safe at the beginning of the day but I took TQ ahead of Niclas in the qualification by a few seconds in each round. Johansson and Tommy followed also with a few seconds in between.
In the finals we saw some clean starts and good racing. I led from start-to-finish in all three finals, with Niclas N, Niklas J and Tommy battling a few seconds behind. In the end, Niclas Nilsson took 2nd with three 2nd place finishes and Niklas Johansson took 3rd with three 3rd place finishes.
In Stock 17.5T Boost it was XRAY driver Stefan Wallberg that was quickest all weekend, taking TQ and 3 wins in the finals.
Overall my car worked very well and I ran the new 2.0mm chassis and 1.6mm topdeck.
